I finally got everything to be able to play Yorion D&T paper legal. I used xJCloud's winning deck list.
The cards I needed were: 2 Field of Ruin (shrug, I went for the Time Spiral version), 1 Karakas, 1 Peacekeeper, 1 Recruiter of the Guard, 4 Solitude, and 4 Beta Plains. I had everything else. Never did I think I would need 4 Karakas or 4 Recruiter, but here I am. I thought I might need 2-3 Solitude, but here I am with a playset now.
I have found that when I am building towards a deck I want to play and keep, the cost of the cards melt away. Values are stumbling blocks to the cards I need. Thank god I don't like Foil. Cause I would be in a WORLD of hurt.
All of the new cards were funded by the work I did with my friend in selling his cards.
I am also actively trading the new supply I have to get several cards I want for longer term projects- like my "trade-only" Legacy burn deck. (I can only play cards in it that I have traded for!) Also working towards a playset of Urza's Saga. I am cooking up a stupid u/w OmniTell deck with Standstill, Saga, and Monastery Mentors. (yet to be traded for) MonkeyStill has no appeal because I am firmly in the 'anti-Ragavan' camp. We shall see how this goes if at all... but its something fun.
