I did not set out to get all the swords. The only ones I sought out was the Sword of Fire and Ice and War and Peace. At the time, it was so that I could play DnT in Legacy. That was it. I was good. Short story, I picked up the Fire and Ice copy off TCG back in 2018 for $40. At the time it was an amazing deal. I think people stayed away because it was signed. I did some quick checks of signatures and was fairly certain it was legit, and snapped it up. Fairly sure I either traded for the War and Peace, or got it at my LGS as part of credit from playing weekly Legacy.

The rest were, ummmm, just there honestly. I got the Sinew and Steel from a pack I opened if I recall. But the kicker was earlier this year when I traded my Revised Fork for Light and Shadow, Body and Mind, and Feast and Famine. The Feast sword is a biggie due to the popularity in EDH. (of course) Well, once I got those, I had to get the other two- right? I picked up Hearth and Home a month prior in a trade. And this week I completed my trade for Truth and Justice. 

Do I need them all? Probably not. Is it nice to have them sitting in a box in case I need them- darn nice it is. Could I trade them if I found a deal I needed for like a dual land? Yup.

Mono-red combo.  This deck. Oh man... this deck does things I am addicted to which is combo. Plus it has some prision-y aspects to it. Not really to be honest, but it is combo bent around making a nice 20/20 out of a mono red deck. 

The real MVP of the deck is Telim'Tor's Edict. Never heard of it? Don't be ashamed, many people have not. Let me introduce you to a Reserve List card that feels like it should be broken somehow. 

Once I saw the following- Reserve List, single red, and under $5 a copy, I snap bought a playset because. Then I told a buddy, he snap bought 4. Then I told someone else and he snap bought 12.  I am fairly sure I am not the only cause of the 25+ copies bought the day before, but I know at least 20 were my fault. 

Now to cobble together a few more cards and build that deck for fun. I don't think I will build the same build, as I don't have ALL the cards, but I do have most now. Muahahahaha. 

Anyone want to lend a brother some Terror of the Peaks? Just realized what it does- autodome for 20. Nice.
