Chaos indeed

My local gaming store hosted a chaos draft. It ended their month of "throw back drafts" they were throwing. This chaos draft would be 5 packs... thats a lot. You can easily go mono with that sort of numbers. There were enough people that we broke up into two pods of 6.
Everyone was to draft their first pack of Conspiracy, 2. Just to make things interesting. Then after that, we pulled 4 packs of random things from a big box of mixed up packs. The mix contained Hour, Amonkhet, Shadows, Dragons, a couple other random things... I wound up with 2 Dragons, Amonkhet, and a Shadows. Meh.
I won the draft with the Conspiracy pack I opened. Yup- I pulled a Leovold. I don't even recall what else was in that pack, because it did not matter. The single most expensive, non-Foil you could land, by a LARGE margin. The odds were ridiculously against me to get this.
I drafted B/G/U just because I wanted to play this dude. No other reason.

Oh, I also got a Stomping Ground, a foil Port Town, and a Rumunap Excavator. Add on top of that, everyone in the store got a FNM promo of Fatal Push for showing up.

Needless to say, anything that happened after that did not matter, I won the draft.
[Updated: For the record I drafted B/G/U just so I could play Leo. It was a crappy draft philosophy but I just wanted to play the dude, which I did twice. I had decent flyers, lite removal, and a touch of ramp. It got me two match wins, so I am not complaining]

Oh, as for results, I went 2-1. I totally forgot we could play conspiracy cards from those first packs. I was too smitten with Leo. Ha! I won 1 pack for my troubles, and got nothing out of it. Meh.

Looking forward to going back to the LGS in two weeks... lots of promos, playmats, packs, and oh- chili. Good times!
