Went to the FNM, and we were going to draft Dragon of Tarkir. However, only six people showed up and we switched to Conspiracy 2 draft. Not too bad.
I wound up with a green deck with a splash of black. Creatures, with plenty of surprises. That was the plan at least. Everything for me went sideways when I attacked the guy to my right twice in a row in the beginning. He vowed that he would take me out to the determinant of himself. And we pretty much spent the entire game slapping each other around, forget that everyone else was a viable threat to win. It happens in Conspiracy.
My last creature I played was the Hexplate Golem. (5/7) I misplayed, and should have had the player to my right have his creature fight my Hexplate. However, it didn't matter. Two turns later, the guy clearly marked as the lead threat played Exropriate. Most everyone but me picked time, I picked resource. That turned out to be my life saving move. He grabbed my Hexplate, and proceeded to take 5 turns in a row, and using my Hexplate (and other creatures) to kill everyone else off.
I went from 4 life, one big artifact on the board, and a misplay... to taking second place. Thats a Conspiracy play for you.
One nice side fact was that I landed one of the wonderful Fatal Push promos which are clocking in at about $18-$20. Sweet.

Next week's draft- CHAOS DRAFT!
Basically whatever random packs the store has left will be thrown in to a bin, and the drafters get random packs to use. I think so far we will have:
Conspiracy
Dragons of Tarkir
Hour of Devistation
Amonkhet
Shadows over Innistrad
Might have Aether Revolt, Kaladesh, and who knows what other random packs they are going to throw in. Ought to be interesting to say the least.
